Computer Forensics in basic terms looks at the entire contents of a computer hard drive and on a live system also the contents of the memory. Without getting technical, there is a wealth of information stored in these areas and Datadigger can recover and analyse it. Our services are designed to give a flexible approach, based on your requirements.
Preview - The preview is an excellent way of determining whether you have a problem or not. Previews occur on site and ordinarily take about an hour to perform. The preview will tell you what online activity has occurred, including time periods, it will also show stored images and movie files. At a cost of £50 per computer* it represents fantastic value, once complete you will recieve a pro-forma assessment of the findings.
Analaysis - The analysis is a forensic investigation and involves taking an image (copy) of the hard drive, which is then used to perform the analysis off site. The analysis examines live and deleted content, a full online activity assessment, all stored/deleted images and movies, stored/deleted email examinations, document examinations (all types). Typically the analysis will take up to a week to conclude, following which you will receive a professional and comprehensive report of all findings, which is easy to understand and jargon free.
Advanced Analysis - Effectively no stone is left unturned, if it is there we will find it. The Advanced service is a full investigation of the entire hard drive content and also examines the presence of encrypted volumes, password protected files and hidden partitions. Keyword searches are run to identify additional content and scripts are used to carve out specific data for examination. Typically the Advanced service takes 1 to 2 weeks to complete, following which you will receive a professional and comprehensive report of all findings, which is easy to understand and jargon free.
